A record-breaking 49 million Americans are expected to travel over the Independence Day this year, according to auto club Triple A.
Spokesman Steve Schone tells Missourinet that about 900,000 Missourians are included in the mix.
Expect longer travel times over the Independence Day holiday period.
Schone says the number of Missourians traveling the friendly skies has also increased by about five-percent over last year’s July 4 period.
In major metropolitan areas, at the Lake of the Ozarks and in Branson, expect much longer travel times.
