The National Weather Service (NWS) in Springfield has issued a heat advisory for the entire listening area.
The heat advisory will remain in effect until Thursday.
Excessive heat temperatures will build into the 90s, and afternoon heat index values will range from 100 to 110.
If you have to be out in the heat, make sure to take proper precautions to stay cool and hydrated.
