(Springfield’s News Talk 104.1) – There is a fire causing problems on I-44 and James River this morning.
The fire was reported around 10:15 AM.
The fire originated from a trailer and has now spread to the nearby grassy area near the road.
Currently, exit 69 from eastbound I-44 to southbound James River Freeway is blocked due to the fire.
Because of the heavy smoke from the trailer fire, eastbound traffic on I-44 is moving slowly.
Flames appear to be contained and no injuries have been reported at this time.
It’s unclear what caused the fire.
