(Springfield’s News Talk 104.1) – A driver sustained severe injuries and was taken to a local hospital following a crash on Wednesday night on Kansas Expressway.
The accident occurred at the diverging diamond over I-44 on Kansas Expressway around 7 PM.
According to the police, the vehicle cut the corner too closely, hit a sign, collided with the pedestrian wall, and then rolled into the Northbound lanes on Kansas Expressway.
The driver is currently in critical condition and being treated at an area hospital.
Police suspect that the driver might have been impaired at the time of the accident.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is currently underway.
