(KTTS News) — New voter identification cards are in the mail for registered voters in Greene County.

Greene County has four new precincts because of population growth.

Make sure to check your new Voter ID card to see if your precinct has changed.

Press Release

Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller announces to Greene County registered voters that new voter identification cards will be delivered by mail soon, stating, “Please watch your mailbox for a new card over the next two to nine days.”

This biennial mailing is required by Missouri law to help keep voter registration rolls up to date.

The identification cards list important information for voters such as assigned polling location, ward or township, and
legislative and school districts.

Redistricting following the 2020 United States census resulted in many precinct boundary line adjustments, which were due to population growth or legislative district boundary line adjustments.

Some voters will notice a change in assigned polling location as well.

In addition, four new precincts were created due to population growth and are listed below along with their respective polling locations:

  • 29-CD, The Well Church, 720 East Norton Road, Springfield
  • Battlefield C, Battlefield City Hall – Community Room, 5434 Tower Drive, Battlefield
  • Murray B, First Baptist Church – Willard, 202 West Jackson Street, Willard
  • North Republic B, Republic Schools Bus Center, 700 North Boston Lane, Republic

Schoeller encourages voters to check their cards upon receipt to ensure all information is correct, noting, “It is important to be prepared for Election Day.”

Voters should be aware that under Missouri law, presentation of a valid form of photo identification issued either by the state
of Missouri or the United States government is required when checking in to vote.

If a voter identification card arrives for someone who does not reside at that address, please place the card back in the mail for return delivery to the Office of the County Clerk.

Any additional questions may be directed to the Office of the County Clerk by phone at 417-868-4060 or by email at voterregistration@greenecountymo.gov.
