(KTTS News) – One man has been arrested for attempting to kidnap a teenager in Monett.
Aaron Michael Fryer, a 34-year-old resident of Pierce City, Missouri, is facing charges of kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police responded to the Sonic in the 800 block of East Cleveland Avenue at 6 a.m. Thursday.
Officers say the victim was delivering an order to a stall. Investigators say Fryer then handed her a note saying he had a firearm and to get in the vehicle.
The victim escaped and called police.
The victim gave the police a description that led to the arrest.
Police say Fryer was traveling with a small child. The child was safe.
