(KTTS News) — Today should be the hottest day of the week, with highs above 100.

A Heat Advisory is in effect through Friday night, with heat index values between 105 and 110 degrees expected.

Excessive heat will persist through Friday. The combination of heat and humidity will likely drive afternoon Heat Index values above 105, with the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature also highlighting an increased heat risk. pic.twitter.com/0CeX8l4tWR

Temperatures will be slightly cooler this weekend with a chance for some showers and storms.
