(KTTS News) — It may not feel like it outside, but summer is here.
Today is the official first day of summer.
Temperatures are expected to warm up over the next couple of weeks.

The National Weather Service says we could have an excessive heat risk by the end of the month.
It will be sunny and hot this weekend with a slight chance for rain, especially north of Springfield.
