(KTTS News) — Springfield City Council has voted to use eminent domain on the Hotel of Terror.
Both sides have been trying to reach an agreement for years so the city could acquire the building to fix the Main Street bridge.
The building’s foundation is right next to the bridge.
The city says it would take more than $3-million dollars to fix the bridge without tearing down the building.
The attraction will get to operate for one more season before the city starts work on the project.
