(KTTS News) — A man from Springfield is facing charges for assault and impersonating a police officer.
Nathan Smith, 38, was arrested over the weekend.
Police said he walked up to someone Sunday night at a gas station on West Sunshine and identified himself as a police officer.
KY3 says the victim said he didn’t believe Smith.
Smith left, but when he came back, he had a knife and began slashing at the victim.
