(KTTS News) — Opening statements begin Tuesday in the federal trial for Dr. Tricia Derges, a state representative from Nixa.
A jury was selected Monday to hear the federal fraud case against her.
Derges is charged with lying about stem cell treatments at her health clinic and illegally providing prescription drugs.
She’s rejected several plea deals.
Fellow lawmakers have asked her to resign, but she refused, saying she’s innocent.
