Firefighters in Springfield battled a large fire on Historic Walnut Street Wednesday afternoon.

Crews responded around 4 p.m. to a three-story home that was turned into apartments called Walnut Manor Apartments.

Investigators say they do not know the cause of the fire.

There were no injuries.
