Prosecutors have charged a man from Dallas County for a disturbance involving firearms in a Walmart parking lot on Wednesday.
Warren Branning, a 66 year old man from Long Lane, is accused of making a terroristic threat, harassing others, and resisting arrest.
Court documents say a Walmart employee alerted authorities to a man in the parking of the Walmart on State Highway 38 in Marshfield who was “talking gibberish” and cussing. The employee reported that the man was reportedly unbagging his guns.
Investigators report that they walked up to Branning, who was near a pickup truck. They say Branning had six loaded guns near him. Four were pointed in different directions, and two were in gun cases.
Branning reportedly rolled under the vehicle in an attempt to avoid arrest.
KY3 reports that when asked what he was doing, investigators say Branning replied that he didn’t know. Investigators say Branning’s behavior was indicative of someone on “illegal drugs.”
