The National Weather Service says afternoon heat index readings will be close to 105 degrees in some places.
There’s a heat advisory through Thursday night for the entire listening area.
A few thunderstorms are possible today across the area. There is a marginal risk for severe storms over the eastern Ozarks, mainly this afternoon and evening. Some of the storms could produce heavy downpours. pic.twitter.com/wif6Lt8hTR
