Some places east of Springfield could see storms this afternoon, mainly east of Highway 65.
Scattered storms are expected between 2-4 PM across the eastern MO Ozarks. The main storm hazards will be frequent lightning, wind gusts up to 50 mph, and small hail. The National Weather Service says storms could fire up between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The biggest threat will be heavy rain, small hail and strong winds.
The storms should taper off between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
