Police in Nixa say a teenager was taken to the hospital in critical condition Saturday night with multiple stab wounds after she was found laying in the street.
Two suspects were arrested after a brief standoff at a home.
The victim is now in stable condition at a local hospital.

On 6/26/21 at about 10:41pm, Nixa Police were dispatched to the 800 block of E. Country Ridge St. for a “check person” call involving weapons.
Upon arrival, Nixa Police found a juvenile teen female victim laying in the street with multiple stab wounds.
She was taken to a hospital by ambulance in critical condition.
Two suspects retreated into a residence and initially refused to surrender to police.
The Nixa Emergency Tactical Team was dispatched to the scene and both suspects surrendered around 12:30am and are now in custody.
The latest update received by Nixa Police on the victim was that she is in stable condition.
No probable cause statements have been filed yet as the investigation is still ongoing.
Nixa Police believe the victim and suspects know one another and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Due to the fact this case involves juveniles, Nixa Police will not release the names or identifying information of those involved.
