The National Weather Service says temperatures will warm up this afternoon, giving us a chance for storms and severe weather.
“We’re expecting strong to severe thunderstorms to be ongoing across portions of the area for several hours this evening,” said meteorologist Justin Titus.

Titus says storms should start to develop once the sun comes out.
Large hail and damaging winds will be the biggest threats.
But isolated tornadoes are also possible.
There’s a Tornado Watch in effect until 8 p.m. for counties along and south of I-44.
There’s also a Flash Flood Watch through Thursday morning for the entire listening area.
