The Springfield Police Department has launched an internal affairs investigation after video surfaced online of a confrontation between an officer and a civilian.
Terry Rucker approached officers on Elm Street during a death investigation on November 27, and recorded them.
Rucker spoke to two officers, who told him to move away from the scene out of respect for the family.
After the officer told him to ‘move the phone out of his face’, Rucker was handcuffed. The Officer’s statement also claimed that Rucker was attempting to provoke them. He was not arrested and was let go a short time later.
