A rally in support of police titled Back the Blue will be held today on Park Central Square through 4 o’clock.

The protestors plan to wave flags and signs in support of law enforcement in Springfield and will walk to the Police headquarters on Chestnut expressway.

The event organizer says it’s her initiative to thank officers.

Counter protestors arrived before 3 o’clock and the groups have began chanting at each other, with Back the Blue demonstrators chanting USA, and counter protestors saying “Justice Now”
