Two more people have tested positive in Taney County bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 8, the Taney County Health Department (TCHD) says.
A statement by the TCHD says their Communicable Disease Investigation Team is working to contact residents who may have had contact with the individuals infected with the virus.
The statement goes on to say:
“Although one of these cases is related to domestic travel, we want our residents to know that we are seeing community spread of COVID-19, ”said Lisa Marshall, Director of the TCHD, “We want to remind residents to follow preventive guidelines, including staying at home as mandated by the governor.” For frequently asked questions about the mandate click here: https://governor.mo.gov/stay-home-missouri-order-guidance-and-frequently-asked-question
TCHD also wants to remind you to wear a facemask when out in public, wash your hands frequently, and practice physical distancing.
Another reminder from TCHD – if you have a scheduled appointment for any service, please call before coming to your appointment. Clients who are screened and found to have a fever will be asked to reschedule their appointments.
