The driver of a semi has died in a crash on I-44 near Duenweg.
The wreck, which happened at 7 p.m. Thursday, shut down both lanes of the interstate at the 14 mile marker and wasn’t cleared until around 2:30 a.m. Friday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Robert Horton from Diamond died when his rig hit the median cable, caught fire and crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting three other vehicles.
Two of the other drivers had minor injuries.
Horton, who was 47, was pronounced dead at the scene.
