(Springfield’s News Talk 104.1) – An Oregon man was arrested for a sexual assault case involving a Springfield teenager.
26-year-old Sergio Lopez met a 13-year-old girl online and traveled from his home in Oregon to Springfield, where he sexually assaulted her.
Court documents show that Lopez told the teenager that his name was David Leon and he was 17.
Lopez traveled from Oregon to Springfield in October. He picked up the teenager and then drove her to a local hotel where he assaulted her.
Lopez was arrested on March 7 in Oregon.
Lopez is being charged with kidnapping and child sex crimes in both state and federal court.
