(Springfield’s News Talk 104.1) – Springfield Police have caught a suspect wanted in Mississippi.
The suspect was wanted out of Olive Branch, Mississippi for aggravated assault on a police officer.
The Olive Branch Police Department identified the suspect as 34-year-old Colby Alan Towles.
Reports show that Towles shot at two officers who were doing a routine traffic stop. No officers were injured.
Springfield Police caught the Towles on Monday around 5 PM near the Bass Pro Angler’s Lodge Hotel on West Sunshine.
Detectives from the Olive Branch Police Department are in route to begin the process of having Towles extradited.
