(KTTS News) — CoxHealth is buying the JPMorgan Chase Bank building on east Republic Road in South Springfield.

Cox will have 60,000 square feet of space in the south building.

JPMorgan Chase will remain as a tenant.

Press Release

As our organization continues to rapidly grow – now with more than 13,500 employees –  CoxHealth is adding much-needed space with the purchase of the JPMorgan Chase Bank building at 303 East Republic Road in Springfield.

With its close proximity to Cox South, the new campus will position the health system to provide expanded capacity and flexibility as we continue to experience unprecedented growth.

While plans for the facility are still in the early stages, leaders expect the property to house a blend of functions. The purchase allows for significant expansion at a fraction of the cost of new construction.

“The opportunity to add this much capacity, in this location, comes at a great time for CoxHealth,” says Max Buetow, CoxHealth’s President and CEO. “This expansion positions us well to continue meeting our community’s needs.”

In April 2024, CoxHealth will take possession of approximately 60,000 square feet of space in the campus’ south building.

JPMorgan Chase Bank will continue to be a tenant in other areas of the campus.
