(KTTS News) — The Green Bridge in Christian County will close next week.
The Christian County Highway Department says the Green Bridge will close next Thursday, February 8.
MoDOT says the bridge is no longer safe to use.
The Green bridge is only one-lane wide.
It was built in 1912 and carries more than 360 vehicles a day.
The bridge is located on Smyrna Road goes over the Finley River.
Christian County plans to replace the bridge, along with two others — the Hawkins bridge and the Red bridge.
All three are at least 100 years old and have outlived their useful lives.
