(KTTS News) — The Lake Springfield bridge and Kissick Avenue will be closed the week of January 29.
City Utilities will close and divert traffic in nearby areas will it makes repairs to a natural gas main along Kissick Avenue.
Repairs work is expected to last the entire week.

During the week of January 29, City Utilities will be making repairs to a natural gas main running along the Kissick Avenue bridge over Lake Springfield.
To make these repairs, traffic along Kissick Avenue, including the bridge, and nearby areas, will be closed and diverted beginning Monday, January 29, with the work expected to take a full week.
Detours will be in place at the following locations:
- Southbound Kissick Avenue traffic will be diverted at the Lake Springfield Park area.
- Northbound Kissick Avenue traffic will be diverted near the James River Power Station.
- The intersection of Kissick and Lake Ridge will be closed to all traffic while repairs are being made.
- Motorists should make alternate travel plans and avoid using Kissik Avenue, or River Oaks Street, leading to that area, during the week of January 29.
This work is scheduled to take place during the week of January 29 however, weather conditions could delay work.
