(KTTS News) — Governor Parson has issued an executive order that bans foreign adversaries from owning agricultural land within 10 miles of a military base in Missouri.
It comes amid concern about ownership by countries like China who could use the land to spy on the military.
Nations currently classified as foreign adversaries include China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Venezuela.
Parson says investments from friendly countries brings billions of dollars a year to the Missouri economy while creating thousands of jobs.
