(KTTS News) — A man from Willard is behind bars for assaulting two Greene County deputies and the driver of a car.
The sheriff says 33-year-old Matthew Romesburg was involved in a crash on I-44 near the 75 mile marker.
After the crash, he assaulted the driver of the other car that was involved.
When deputies approached Romesburg, he assaulted them, too.
One deputy had facial fractures, the other injured his knee.
