(KTTS News) — A deadly officer-involved shooting in Polk County has been ruled justified.
The Polk County prosecutor says no charges will be filed after three officers shot John Erven several times at a home in Fair Play back in April.
Authorities were called to the home for a suicidal person.
The Highway Patrol says Erven had a gun pointed low at the ground, but eventually raised it, saying he wanted to see how fast the officers were.
