(KTTS News) — Traffic shifts begin this week at the intersection of Kansas Expressway and Republic Road in Springfield.
Crews will shift the eastbound through lane and close one of the two eastbound to northbound left turn lanes.
Road work is expected to last through the end of the year.
It’s part of the Greene County Kansas Extension project.

Eastbound motorists at the intersection of Republic Road and Kansas Expressway should expect a shift of the eastbound through lane and closure of one of two eastbound to northbound left turn lanes beginning 9 a.m., Monday, Nov. 27.
The lane shift is expected to be in place through the end of the year to facilitate the construction of sidewalk, curb and gutter, and storm sewer related to the Greene County Kansas Extension project.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
