(KTTS News) — A man from Springfield is charged with assaulting a woman and shooting her dog.
The woman told Greene County deputies that Bryant Mendenhall, 33, was riding in her car near Highland Springs and Stan Musial Drive when he shot the dog with her gun, then used it to break her nose.
She says he threatened to shoot her if she talked or tried to help the dog.
