(KTTS News) — A man from Springfield has pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $80,000 from the Missouri Institute of Natural Science and fraudulently collecting over $38,000 in COVID relief funds from the federal government.
The Missouri Institute of Natural Science is located near Farm Roads 190 and 141 in Greene County.
Court records say Daniel Pomeroy used the money he stole to make about 60 payments to various banks and businesses.
He faces up to 20 years in prison and up to $250,000 dollars in fines.
