Original Story

Springfield Police need your help identifying the driver of a tractor trailer who hit a pedestrian Friday near Kansas and I-44.

Todd Tennison, 51, from Springfield was sitting on the ground off the roadway when he was hit by a semi pulling a box trailer.

Tennison died two days later.

Press Release

The Springfield Police Department needs the public’s assistance to identify the tractor trailer, box trailer, and driver involved in a Sept. 29 crash that killed Todd A. Tennison.

The tractor is white with a sleeper and has the number “274” on the front fender.

The trailer is a 53-foot white box trailer with “Wabash” on the rear of the trailer and on the left mud flap.

Wabash is the trailer manufacturer, not the owner.

While we have a license plate number, additional information on the trailer and driver is needed.

If anyone recognizes the vehicle or knows the driver, please contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-874-2209 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477) or online at p3tips.com.
