(KTTS News/ Press Release) – For the fourth straight year, the mayors of Nixa and Ozark are teaming up with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks to host the Mayors Challenge Blood Drive.
The drive is designed as a friendly competition between Nixa and Ozark to see which community can recruit the most blood donors, with a traveling trophy awarded to the city with the strongest showing.
The City of Nixa won the trophy last year.
Successful donors will receive two free admissions to the Dickerson Park Zoo and a zoo-themed T-shirt, a $34 value. Zoo admissions are valid through July 31, 2024.
Donors will also be entered into several drawings:
- An entry into a drawing for a $100 Signal store gift card for the Ozark and Nixa drive.
- An entry into a drawing for a $100 gift card, courtesy of Central Bank for the Ozark drive donors.
- An entry into a drawing for a $100 gift card, courtesy of Ozark Bank for the Nixa drive donors.

Photo identification is required. Please eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to the blood drive.
Each donation can help save the lives of up to three people in the Ozarks.
