(KTTS News) — A former Springfield Police officer gets two years supervised probation after a domestic assault in 2021.

Nicholas Brasser entered an Alford plea, which means he doesn’t have to admit to a crime, but admits there’s enough evidence for to convict him.

Court records say a woman told someone Brasser tried to strangle her.

The pair had been drinking at a Springfield bar before driving to an apartment complex.
