(KTTS News) — Three Branson Police officers will not face charges for a fatal shooting that happened during a struggle with an armed suspect.
Randall Wesolek, Jr., 43, was shot during a confrontation with the officers on February 28th at Dalton’s Express Gas Station on Highway 76.
A video from police body cameras was shown at a news conference, with narration from Police Lieutenant E. J. Jones.
Branson Police Chief Eric Schmitt says the officers had been looking for Wesolek for several days, in connection with seven active warrants.
Schmitt says a review found that the officers followed their training.
The Taney County prosecutor says no charges will be filed.
The officers have returned to full duty.
