Morgan Wallen is leading the nominations in the first ever “People’s Choice Country Awards.” The awards show, which will be held on Thursday, September 28th, will be aired on NBC TV (KY3) and the Peacock streaming service. Little Big Town will serve as the hosts of the awards show.
Leading the nominations is Morgan Wallen with 11 while Lainey Wilson leads the women nominees with 7. Those who didn’t get a nomination for the People’s Artist of the Year award include Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood. Jason wasn’t nominated for either the People’s Artist or the Male Artist awards. But both Miranda and Carrie were nominated for Female Artist of 2023.
The categories for the People’s Choice Country Awards include THE PEOPLE’S ARTIST OF 2023, THE MALE ARTIST OF 2023, THE FEMALE ARTIST OF 2023, THE GROUP/DUO OF 2023, THE NEW ARTIST OF 2023, THE SOCIAL COUNTRY STAR OF 2023, THE SONG OF 2023, THE CROSSOVER SONG OF 2023, THE ALBUM OF 2023, THE MUSIC VIDEO OF 2023 and THE CONCERT TOUR OF 2023.
