(KTTS News) — Power outages in Springfield are raising concerns about the summer heat that continues across the Ozarks.
The health department’s web site has a list of reminders and cooling centers to go to if you are without power.
With heat index values in the triple digits through Wednesday, there’s a higher danger of heat related illnesses.
The Springfield Greene County Health Department is urging people to be aware of the symptoms of heat exhaustion.
Those include heavy sweating, paleness, tiredness and muscle cramps.
If you have those symptoms, you need to get to a cool spot, rest and drink cool water.
