(KTTS News) — A restaurant owner in Springfield has pleaded guilty in federal court to a fraud scheme to get federal coronavirus relief loans.
John Michael Felts, 48, owns Taco Habitat and several other restaurants.
He pleaded guilty to wire fraud charges.
He’ll be sentenced at a later date.
Felts admitted using his business and fake businesses to receive close to $14 million dollars in loans, including funding under the Paycheck Protection Program.
