(KTTS News) — There’s an Excessive Heat Warning for Monday and Tuesday for counties along Interstate 49 west of Springfield.
The heat index could approach 110 degrees in those areas today.
The Springfield metro could feel as warm as 105 degrees.
Areas north of Springfield will have heat index readings in the 90s.
A Heat Advisory is also in effect for Monday and Tuesday for some counties along and west of Springfield, including Greene and Christian counties.
A Flood Watch is in effect Tuesday morning for counties north and east of Springfield.
