(KTTS News) – A Springfield woman is accused of trying to stab her former boyfriend with a knife.

35-year-old Elisa Andrade is charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

She was arrested Sunday in the 4300 block of South Sunrise Avenue.

A witness told a Greene County deputy that Andrade had been chasing her former boyfriend with a knife.

After Andrade was arrested, she admitted to a deputy that, “I was trying to kill him.”

Andrade is being held on a $25,000 bond.
