(KTTS News) — A man from Monett is being held without bond in a crash that killed two people.
Rafael Contreras-Maldonado, 19, is facing charges of driving while intoxicated resulting in death, along with drug charges.
Officials said Maldonado’s truck was being chased by a Lawrence County deputy late Friday night.
It crashed into a car at Highway 37 and Highway 60 in Monett.
The two people in the car were killed.
They were identified as Larry Brock, 53, and Lydia Shorey, 61, both from Crane.
