(KTTS) – One man is dead after a shooting in south Springfield Thursday night.
The Springfield Police Department says they received a call for shots fired off South Virginia Avenue.
The call came in around 11 PM.
When officers arrived on the scene they found one person who had been shot.
The man was rushed to an area hospital but later died from his injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Officials don’t believe there is a threat to the community.
