(KTTS News) — A man from Neosho is dead after a ten car crash Friday afternoon on I-44 west of Mt. Vernon.
The Highway Patrol says westbound traffic was stopped at the 43 mile marker around 4:45 p.m. when a semi hit the back of a BMW, sending it into another semi.
The driver of the BMW, 37-year-old Rodger Alexander, died at the hospital.
Four other people suffered minor to moderate injuries and were taken to hospitals in Springfield and Joplin.
