(KTTS News) — Crews are building sound walls as widening work continues on James River Freeway in south Springfield.
The first wall is already up, separating Republic Road and James River, just east of Campbell.
A second wall will be built along James River down to National.
The walls should help reduce noise as James River is widened to six lanes between Campbell and National.
