(KTTS News) — The best chance for severe weather tomorrow will be along and east of Highway 65.

The National Weather Service says strong to severe storms are expected in the Springfield and Branson areas between noon and 4 p.m. Friday.

Damaging winds and tornadoes will be the main threats.

Storms will be possible throughout the evening across the Ozarks.

A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for Friday afternoon and evening for Barton, Cedar, Jasper, and St. Clair Counties northwest of Springfield.  Low humidity and strong winds could lead to fire danger.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for most of the Ozarks, generally along and west of Highway 65, Friday from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for areas east of Highway 65 from 1 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for Dallas, Hickory and Laclede Counties from 1 p.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Saturday.
