(KTTS News) — Springfield’s Planning and Zoning Commission has approved two development projects.
The old Boyd Elementary school in north Springfield would be used for apartments and small businesses.
And Sunshine Towne Center would sit at the southeast corner of West Bypass and Sunshine, across from Walmart.
Some of the land for the proposed development is in the county.
So before the retail shopping center can be approved, the city would have to annex it into the city limits.
Springfield City Council will decide whether the projects can move forward.
