(KTTS News) — Nixa could be facing some budget cuts after voters said no to a sales tax for police and parks and recreation.
The city plans to lay out the options during upcoming city council meetings.
The city asked voters to pass a tax to build a new $13 million dollar police station and a $25 million dollar sports complex.
Nixa’s sales tax hasn’t been updated since 1987.
The city says it needed the sales tax to keep up with demands for services.
