(KTTS News) – Parking may get a little more difficult on C-Street next week.
The public parking lot located at Robberson Avenue and Pacific Street in the Commercial Street Historic District will close beginning Monday, August 15th for construction improvements.
The project will include new pavement, lighting and landscaping.
Construction is expected to last 6-8 weeks pending weather.
Following project completion, similar improvements will be constructed at the public parking lot located at Campbell Avenue and Pacific Street.
Commercial Street visitors are advised to use alternate public parking available at Campbell Avenue and Pacific Street and at Jefferson Avenue and Blaine Street.
Improvements for both parking lots are expected to cost a combined total of $595,000, funded partially through Commercial Street Tax Increment Financing (TIF), the ¼-cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax and additional Public Works funds.
