Record Snowfall In Springfield

The National Weather Service says 9.5 inches of snow fell in Springfield during the winter storm that hit the Ozarks this week.

The National Weather Service says there are snow drifts two to three feet deep at its office near the airport.

The National Weather Service says Springfield also set a new record for most snowfall in a day.

6.8 inches of snow fell Thursday, the most since 4.5 inches fell in 1894.

Most places are reporting snowfall amounts ranging from four to eight inches of snow, with up to a foot of snow reported around Warsaw.

We’re expecting sunshine and temperatures in the 20s later today.

But roads are still covered, so check on the road conditions before you go out.
